The National Police Agency and Incheon City announced on the 15th that they conducted 330 export consultations and concluded export contracts worth 45.2 billion KRW through the export consultation meeting of the International Security Industry Expo, which was jointly held online from the 21st of last month.
This expo, held for the second time this year, has been conducted entirely online since the 21st of last month due to COVID-19. The expo is scheduled to continue until the end of the year, with visitor numbers exceeding 10,000 on the first day alone and about 50,000 visitors in the first week. During the same period, 1,248 overseas visitors and buyers from 82 countries, including the United States and Singapore, also participated online.
Additionally, through the export consultation meeting held over three days from the 21st of last month, domestic security-related companies seeking to develop overseas markets engaged in online business consultations with prominent overseas buyers.
In particular, through cooperation with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), 73 influential defense industry buyers from 23 countries participated, resulting in substantial export consultations and contracts. One domestic anti-drone company participating in the expo received partnership and exclusive contract requests from police agencies in Hong Kong, Turkey, India, and other countries.
