View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation announced on the 9th that it has opened the 83rd branch of the joint childcare sharing center, 'Shinhan Kkum Dodam Center,' in Pohang, Gyeongbuk.
'Shinhan Kkum Dodam Center' is a project aimed at supporting after-school care activities for elementary school children from dual-income families who are in childcare blind spots, reducing childcare burdens, and preventing career interruptions for women.
Since 2018, Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation has been carrying out the 'Shinhan Kkum Dodam Center' establishment project through a business agreement with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. Including the newly opened Pohang branch in Gyeongbuk, a total of 83 'Shinhan Kkum Dodam Centers' have been opened nationwide in cities, counties, and districts.
Under compliance with COVID-19 quarantine guidelines, Shinhan Financial Hope Foundation's 'Shinhan Kkum Dodam Center' operates regular educational programs such as children's financial classes, play and English classes. Additionally, to foster creative future talents, various educational programs are provided that include △ potential development △ self-directed value practice △ relationship building and social skills enhancement. Along with this, emergency care services and vacation programs are operated for families in need of care depending on the COVID-19 situation to minimize care gaps.
