[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] An employee of Gwangju Correctional Institution in Gwangju Metropolitan City tested positive for COVID-19, raising alarms for preventing further spread among inmates and staff.
According to health authorities on the 9th, a man in his 20s, identified as Mr. A, was confirmed positive for COVID-19 and registered as Gwangju case number 520.
Mr. A, an employee of Gwangju Correctional Institution, underwent testing after experiencing fever and cough symptoms. The exact route of infection has not yet been determined.
With the correctional staff member testing positive, urgent measures are being taken to prevent additional spread.
