Melania Yeo-sa Supports President Trump's Election Dispute Claims via Tweet
[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] Reports have emerged that U.S. President Donald Trump is facing a divorce crisis following his election defeat.
Stephanie Wolkoff, a former aide to First Lady Melania, stated to the British Daily Mail on the 7th (local time) that "Melania is counting down the time to leave the office to get a divorce." She claimed that the marriage between the Trumps is effectively over.
This has drawn attention in conjunction with CNN's report that Melania is persuading President Trump to concede the election results.
If Wolkoff's claim is true, it could mean that Melania is trying to leave the White House quickly to proceed with her divorce.
When President Trump was elected in 2016 and took office, Melania stayed in New York for five months due to their son Barron's schooling before moving into the White House.
Amid the growing controversy, Melania made her first tweet about the election results on the 8th, supporting her husband's stance.
Melania stated, "All legal votes, not illegal ones, must be counted. We must protect our democracy with complete transparency."
