Gangbuk-gu 'National Fitness 100' Fitness Certification Center Officially Opens
Installation of 'Gangbuk Fitness Certification Center' at Gangbuk Well-being Sports Center... The Only One in Northern Seoul... Full Operation from the 9th, All Services Free... Implementing Customized Fitness Welfare Services
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Gyeom-su) will open the doors wide on the 9th to the ‘National Fitness 100’ Gangbuk Fitness Certification Center, which provides customized sports services to residents.
The certification center is located inside the Gangbuk Wellbeing Sports Center (51, Ohhyeon-ro 31-gil, Gangbuk-gu).
It became a new fitness certification institution after being selected for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s sports welfare public project. Currently, eight centers operate in the Seoul area, and the Gangbuk Fitness Certification Center is the only one in the northern Seoul region.
All services at the center are free of charge.
Using scientific equipment, fitness levels are measured by age group, enabling personalized consultations and exercise prescriptions. Residents who complete the measurement can also receive a nationally certified fitness certificate ranging from grade 1 to grade 3.
Those wishing to use the service must make a reservation by phone in advance. When visiting, individuals must bring personal sportswear, indoor shoes, and identification. The center operates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays.
Mayor Park Gyeom-su of Gangbuk-gu said, “The fitness certification service is expected to improve the quality of life for residents and lead the era of 100-year lifespans,” adding, “We will take the lead in realizing sports welfare through the activation of community sports so that residents can maintain their fitness healthily.”
