People Power Party spokesperson Bae Jun-young released a statement that day saying, "We sincerely congratulate Joe Biden, the Democratic candidate, on his victory in the U.S. presidential election."
Spokesperson Bae emphasized, "Blood is thicker than water. The ROK-U.S. alliance is a blood alliance forged with bloodshed on the battlefield of the Korean War," adding, "The Republic of Korea has shared 70 years of freedom, democracy, and market economy together with the United States."
He continued, "In the future, when the United States takes on the role of a responsible leader in the international community, the Republic of Korea will stand together.
