Expansion of Routes in Preparation for Large-Scale Move-In at Godeok Gangil 2 District... Improvement of Resident Convenience... Additional Adjustments to Village Bus Routes Underway
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangdong-gu (District Mayor Lee Jeong-hoon) announced that it will adjust city bus route 3318, which operates between Gangdong Garage and Macheon-dong, in preparation for the large-scale housing complex move-in due to the Godeok Gangil 2 District housing development, and will operate on the changed route starting from the first bus on November 9.
Approximately 6,600 households are expected to move into the Godeok Gangil 2 District, which began move-in last August, making it urgent to improve public transportation conditions for residents' convenience.
Gangdong-gu has been continuously consulting with Seoul City and gathering residents' opinions to ensure bus routes can be deployed where needed, resulting in the adjustment of route 3318 with the addition of the Godeok Gangil 2 District section.
From the 9th, route 3318 will operate on a changed route: Gangdong Garage ~ Misari Riverview Xi ~ Gangdong Riverst Shopping Center ~ Gangdong Riverst Complex 6 and 7 ~ Riverpark Complex 1 ~ Sangil-dong Station ~ Macheon.
The previous route, which ran from Gangdong Garage ~ Misari Riverview Xi ~ Eungaram Middle School ~ Misa 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center ~ Sangil-dong Station ~ Macheon via Hanam, has been shortened and adjusted.
To minimize inconvenience caused by the route adjustment, Gangdong-gu is focusing on promotion and is also working on adjusting village bus routes to expand bus lines passing through Godeok Gangil 2 District.
After collecting opinions from related agencies and residents to allow village buses to operate through Godeok Gangil 2 District and going through related procedures such as the route adjustment review committee, Seoul City approved the route adjustment for Gangdong 02. Subsequently, the operation schedule will be finalized and implemented after consultation with the transportation company.
Additionally, as move-in for Godeok Gangil 3 District is expected to begin as early as December, discussions with Seoul City are ongoing regarding the additional deployment of city and village buses.
