KT Estate Wins Grand Prize in Information Management at Korea FM Awards
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] KT Group's real estate specialist company KT Estate announced on the 6th that it won the Grand Prize in the Information Management category at the Korea FM Awards hosted by the Korea FM (Facility Management) Association.
At the 21st Korea FM Awards ceremony held the previous day at the Samsung Convention Center in the Hoam Faculty House of Seoul National University, KT Estate's 'Smart Integrated Control Platform' was recognized as a differentiated control platform leading the transformation to an ICT (Information and Communication Technology)-based building management market, earning the Grand Prize, the company said.
The KT Estate Smart Integrated Control Platform is an intelligent control platform that monitors major building facilities based on an automatic control system and enables remote control through algorithm analysis. Currently, it operates integrated control for over 450 buildings within the KT Group, and after two years of application, it has been big data-processed to apply optimal solutions for each building. The company explained that applying it to the Jeongdong Building managed by Aegis Asset Management resulted in cost reduction through energy savings and created a comfortable working environment. Additionally, through the integrated control center located at KT Bundang Headquarters, expert diagnosis and customized security are possible remotely 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Beomjin Cho, Executive Director and Head of Asset Business Division at KT Estate, said, "We are honored that the KT Estate Smart Integrated Control Platform was recognized for its technological excellence and won the Korea FM Grand Prize," adding, "We plan to fully launch the Smart Integrated Control Platform service to present a new paradigm in the building management market and expand the market."
