Police Forward Indictment Opinion Against Park Sang-hak, Head of the Free North Korea Movement Alliance, for 'Distributing Leaflets to North Korea'

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] Park Sang-hak, head of the Free North Korea Movement Alliance, who has been under police investigation for distributing leaflets to North Korea, has been handed over to the prosecution.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 5th that it had sent Park to the prosecution the day before with a recommendation for indictment on charges including violation of the Inter-Korean Exchange and Cooperation Act.
In addition to Park, the police also referred eight other individuals related to defector organizations to the prosecution.
The Ministry of Unification requested a police investigation into defector organizations in June this year after North Korea protested against the distribution of leaflets to the North.

Accordingly, the police formed a task force (TF) to investigate the distribution of leaflets and materials to North Korea and began the investigation, conducting a search and seizure of Park's home and office in the same month.
