North Korea Holds 4th Supreme People's Assembly Plenary Meeting... Adopts Anti-Smoking Law
North Korea held the 11th plenary meeting of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly on the 4th, according to the Workers' Party organ Rodong Sinmun on the 5th.
At the meeting, the adoption of a smoking ban law to strengthen control over tobacco production, sales, and smoking, as well as the amendment of the enterprise law to convert enterprises into energy-saving types, were proposed and passed.
The meeting was chaired by Choe Ryong-hae, First Vice Chairman of the State Affairs Commission, and attended by Tae Hyong-chol and Pak Yong-il, Vice Chairmen of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, and Ko Kil-son, Secretary.
