Air Busan Introduces Industry-First 'Group Discount'... Free Flight Tickets Offered
Dedicated Staff Assigned and Special In-Flight Announcements for Gatherings of 40 or More People
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Air Busan announced on the 3rd that it will introduce a 'Group Preferential Program' for private group gatherings of 10 or more people. This is the first time a national airline has introduced such a group preferential program.
The benefits of this group preferential program include free air tickets, additional services, and customized travel recommendation services for groups. Groups of 15 or more will receive up to 5 free air tickets each time they use international or domestic flights, and additional free air tickets will be granted based on cumulative usage over the next year. Groups of 14 or fewer will not receive separate benefits when using flights but can still enjoy free air ticket benefits.
Various additional services are also provided. Depending on the group size and whether the flight is domestic or international, free additional checked baggage and international lounge access vouchers will be offered. For groups of 40 or more, a dedicated staff member will be assigned, and a special in-flight broadcasting service will be added.
Furthermore, registered groups will receive customized travel product information provided by 37 Air Busan partner travel agencies. An Air Busan official said, "We prepared this program reflecting the travel trends where the nature and preferences of group travelers are becoming increasingly diverse," adding, "We highly recommend that those belonging to private groups such as hiking clubs or golf gatherings join to enjoy many benefits."
