Croquis.com Selected as Military Service Designated Company for Specialized Research Personnel System
Enhancing Zigzag Service through Securing High-Level R&D Talent
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Croquis.com (CEO Seo Jeong-hoon), which operates the shopping application 'Zigzag,' announced on the 2nd that it was selected as a designated military service company for the Specialist Research Personnel System in the second half of 2020.
The Specialist Research Personnel System is a program where personnel enrolled in master's or doctoral courses in science and engineering perform research and development work for three years at companies designated by the Military Manpower Administration, thereby substituting their military service obligation. To be selected as a designated company, comprehensive criteria such as possession of research personnel with a master's degree or higher in science and engineering and a certain level of R&D investment must be met.

Personnel entering as Specialist Research Personnel will be assigned to Croquis.com's GUI (Graphical User Interface) Development Research Institute to work on various projects such as big data analysis to improve the usability of the 'Zigzag' app, personalized recommendations using artificial intelligence, and search service improvements. A Croquis.com official stated, "Croquis.com, which hired about 80 development-related talents this year, plans to accelerate service advancement through more diverse talent recruitment."
