President Moon Appoints 12 Deputy Minister-Level Officials
Kang Min-seok, the Blue House spokesperson, is announcing personnel appointments for 12 deputy minister-level officials at the Blue House briefing room on the morning of the 1st.
On the 1st, President Moon Jae-in appointed Im Seo-jeong, Vice Minister of Employment and Labor, as Senior Secretary for Jobs at the Blue House, and Kim Kang-lip, First Vice Minister of Health and Welfare, as Commissioner of the Korea Food and Drug Administration, among 12 vice minister-level personnel changes.
Park Jin-gyu, former Secretary for New Southern and New Northern Policies at the Blue House, was appointed Vice Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy; Yang Seong-il, Director of Planning and Coordination at the Ministry of Health and Welfare, as First Vice Minister of Health and Welfare; Park Hwa-jin, Director of Labor Policy at the Ministry of Employment and Labor, as Vice Minister of Employment and Labor; and Yoon Seong-won, former Secretary for Land, Infrastructure and Transport at the Blue House, as First Vice Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
Additionally, Kim Jeong-woo, former Democratic Party lawmaker, was appointed Administrator of the Public Procurement Service; Shin Yeol-woo, Head of the Seoul Fire and Disaster Headquarters, as Commissioner of the National Fire Agency; Park Gwang-seok, Director of Planning and Coordination at the Ministry of Environment, as Administrator of the Korea Meteorological Administration; Do Gyu-sang, former Economic Policy Secretary at the Blue House, as Vice Chairman of the Financial Services Commission; Kim Hee-gyeom, First Deputy Governor of Gyeonggi Province, as Head of the Disaster Management Headquarters at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety; and Min Byeong-chan, Director of the Gyeongju National Museum at the National Museum of Korea, as Director of the National Museum of Korea under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
