Gwangyang City Council Concludes the 293rd Extraordinary Session... Approves 20 Ordinances and General Proposals
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Gwangyang City Council concluded the agenda of the 293rd extraordinary session, which began on the 21st, with the 4th plenary session held on the 30th.
Starting with the 1st plenary session, agenda reviews were conducted by each standing committee over six days from the 22nd, followed by two days of municipal administration questions from the 28th. On the 30th, the 4th plenary session approved 20 agenda items and adjourned.
The municipal administration questions were held over two days starting on the 28th, during which six council members questioned the mayor on major current issues, including key projects, environment, and collective civil complaints, and received responses.
During this extraordinary session, the partial amendment ordinance to the Gwangyang City Public Restroom Installation and Management Ordinance, proposed by Councilor Jo Hyun-ok, the consent for budget contribution changes for the metal processing heat treatment industry ecosystem foundation project submitted by the executive agency, the consent for budget contribution to the Jeonnam Credit Guarantee Foundation, the partial amendment ordinance supporting domestic and foreign corporate and capital investment attraction in Gwangyang City, the agreement on the regulations of the National Important Agricultural and Fishery Heritage Win-Win Cooperation Administrative Council, the consent for next year’s budget contribution to the Gwangyang City Love Sharing Welfare Foundation, the consent for cost burden related to the establishment of the (tentative name) Wau Elementary School, and the ordinance for the establishment and operation of the Gwangyang City Public Housing Project Special Account were all approved as originally proposed. Additionally, the plan for this year’s administrative audit was adopted.
The administrative audit is scheduled to be conducted from the 26th of next month to December 4th, covering the Gwangyang City administrative organization, 12 eup/myeon/dong districts, and private entrusted organizations.

Furthermore, six items including the full amendment ordinance on the promotion and management of private consignment of Gwangyang City affairs, partial amendment ordinance on the management of Gwangyang City shared property, partial amendment ordinance on the issuance and operation of Gwangyang Love Gift Certificates, partial amendment ordinance on the establishment and operation of the Gwangyang City Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled, ordinance on the management and operation of Gwangyang City public housing, and the full amendment ordinance on the installation and operation of microbial fertilizer production facilities in Gwangyang City were approved with modifications.
