[Concall] Samsung Electronics "Q4 DRAM Bit Growth in Low Single Digits"
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] On the 29th, Samsung Electronics stated in its Q3 earnings conference call that "the bit growth (bit unit shipment growth rate) of the DRAM market demand in Q4 is expected to grow in the low single digits, and our company anticipates outperforming the market."
Samsung Electronics explained, "The DRAM bit growth in Q3 grew in the mid single digits, and the average selling price (ASP) fell in the high single digits," adding, "On an annual basis, DRAM demand bit growth and our company's growth are expected to be similar at around 20%."
It continued, "In the case of NAND flash, our company grew in the high teens in Q3, and NAND demand bit growth in Q4 is expected to decline in the low single digits," adding, "Our NAND is expected to outperform the market."
