[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] One new case of local COVID-19 infection was confirmed in Gwangju after 6 days.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 28th, a man in his 30s, Mr. A, residing in Wolgok-dong, Gwangsan-gu, tested positive for COVID-19 on that day.
Mr. A visited the Gwangsan-gu Public Health Center for testing after showing abnormal symptoms the previous day.
The initial infection route is under investigation, and Mr. A's family members are also undergoing COVID-19 testing.
So far, 510 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the Gwangju area, with 498 recovered and 9 receiving isolation treatment. There have been 3 deaths.
A total of 161,499 people have been tested, of which 160,649 tested negative, and 340 are awaiting results.
