The province has been holding the ‘Sharing Economy Citizen Idea Contest’ since 2019 to spread the culture of sharing among citizens and to seek innovative ideas to solve social problems through the sharing economy.
This year, especially due to the high social interest in the environmental crisis and Gyeongnam-do’s promotion of Green New Deal policies, the contest focused on solving environmental issues using the sharing economy.
A total of 63 entries were received for this contest held from September 7 to 26, and a total of 8 award-winning works were selected, including 2 excellence awards and 6 encouragement awards.
The excellence awards went to Mr. Jeong Ju-yong for ‘Producing Natural Fertilizer through Sharing Economy of Imperfect Agricultural Products’ and Ms. So Hee-ju for ‘Regional Assetization of Eco-friendly Natural Farming Methods Owned by Farmers.’
The winners will receive prize money of 1 million KRW each for excellence and 500,000 KRW each for encouragement, along with certificates.
