Jongno-gu 'My Daily Life I Want to Share' Video Contest
October 26 - November 20 Nationwide UCC Video Contest for Youth Aged 9-19, Accepting Drama, Music Videos, Vlogs, and Other Formats
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jongno-gu (Mayor Kim Young-jong) will hold a video contest titled "My Daily Life I Want to Share" from October 26 to November 20 to revitalize youth whose daily lives have been restricted due to COVID-19.
The district prepared this video contest to help teenagers develop and share content on how to maintain a stable and healthy daily life during social distancing, aiming to overcome depression and lethargy caused by COVID-19 and to heal their minds.
The contest theme is "My Daily Life I Want to Share with Friends" for COVID-19 safety prevention and overcoming COVID blues. Entries can include ▲ exploring Jongno’s alleys and historic sites, ▲ living together such as urban farming, home gardening, bonding with pets, and practicing environmental protection in daily life, and ▲ emotional hobbies like home training, phone decoration, room interior design, and reading?showcasing enjoyable and creative homebound activities unique to Generation Z within the scope of social distancing.
Any UCC video format such as drama, music video, news, documentary, or vlog is acceptable, with a duration of about 3 to 5 minutes in mp4 format (recommended HD resolution, file size under 500MB).
The contest is open to all youth nationwide aged 9 to 19, who can participate individually or in teams of up to five members. Entries including the video file, application form, and video introduction downloaded from the Jongno-gu Office website should be submitted by November 20 via email to the person in charge at 617727@mail.jongno.go.kr.
The district will hold an internal judging committee to conduct the first round of judging based on creativity, public interest, popularity, interest, and completeness, selecting about 20 videos. These will be posted on Jongno-gu’s official YouTube channel, "Jongno TV," and the top 10 teams will be chosen based on the highest number of "likes" for each video.
The results will be announced on the district office website in December. The grand prize team will receive a cultural gift certificate worth 500,000 KRW and a certificate, three excellent teams will receive 300,000 KRW each, and six encouragement prize teams will receive cultural gift certificates worth 100,000 KRW each along with certificates.
