Gochang County Holds the 59th Gochang County Residents' Day Event
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jae-gil] Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 26th that it held the '59th Gochang-gun Residents' Day Ceremony' on the 25th.
This event was held on a small scale in compliance with quarantine guidelines such as minimizing the number of invitees and spacing seats apart to thoroughly prevent COVID-19.
In particular, at this event, the Residents' Charter, revised for the first time in over 30 years, was proclaimed.
The county has been promoting the revision of the Residents' Charter, established in 1970, to simplify language expressions such as refraining from using Chinese characters and to include hopeful content that can enhance the status of the Korean Peninsula's first capital and the pride of the residents.
The honorable 'Resident Medal' was awarded to Kim Ok-jin (Director of Gochang Cultural Center) for Culture and Sports, Lee Kang-soo (former Gochang County Governor) for Public Service, Oh Geum-yeol (CEO of Geumseong Ranch) for Industry and Labor, Jeong Kwan-hoon (Gyeonggi Gochang Residents' Association) for Patriotism, and Lee Chun-ae (Buil Agricultural Products Store) for Filial Piety, recognizing their contributions to the development of the county.
Those selected as 'Proud Honorary Residents' who contributed to the development of the local community were Jo Kyung-wook (Senior Research Fellow at Jeonbuk Research Institute), Jin Sung (singer), Na Jong-sam (professor at Jeonbuk National University), and Kim Jong-yeon (Director of National Jangseong Forest Center).
