Discussion on 10 Agenda Items Including Adjustment of Cafeteria Closure Days
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] On the 26th, Pohang City held a 'Public Officials Labor-Management Council' at the city hall's medium conference room, attended by Deputy Mayor Song Kyung-chang, Choi Eun-su, head of the Pohang branch of the National Public Officials Union, and six other labor-management representatives.
The agenda items for the meeting included a total of 10 topics such as adjusting the cafeteria's closed days, communication training for employees in major departments, and improvements to the duty work system. Both labor and management agreed to positively cooperate on these issues and decided to continuously improve the working environment.
Among the main agenda items, regarding the 'Improvement of the Duty Work System,' both sides agreed to prepare improvement measures such as introducing overnight duty work for female employees to alleviate the imbalance in duty rotation caused by the continuously increasing proportion of female public officials.
