Gwangju University Selected for 'Online Shared Video Conference Room Construction Project'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyukjong) Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation announced on the 25th that it has been selected for the ‘Online Shared Video Conference Room Construction Project’ supported by Gwangju Technopark and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
The ‘Online Shared Video Conference Room Construction Project’ is a project that supports the installation of open video conference rooms in facilities frequently used by entrepreneurs to create non-face-to-face and digital business infrastructure for small and medium-sized startups experiencing business activity contraction and difficulties in face-to-face activities due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Accordingly, Gwangju University plans to create a video conference room on the 3rd floor meeting room of the Inseong Hall with a support fund of 12 million KRW. The video conference room will be open to small and medium-sized startups at all times.

Na Jonghoe, head of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation at Gwangju University, said, “We submitted a business plan to support local small and medium-sized startups suffering from business difficulties due to COVID-19 and were selected for the construction project,” adding, “We will actively support local small businesses to find ways to respond to the post-COVID-19 era and improve work efficiency.”
