[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City will hold the ‘Ontong Daebak Ontong Sale’ event throughout next month.
According to the city on the 24th, Daejeon will conduct the ‘Ontong Daebak Ontong Sale’ event all next month in connection with this year’s ‘2020 Korea Sale Festa’.
This event was planned to support small business owners struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and during the event period, citizens using the local currency ‘Ontong Daejeon’ can receive up to a 25% discount (cashback) on their spending.
First, until November 15, during the Korea Sale Festa period, when using Ontong Daejeon (up to 500,000 KRW per month), users will receive a total of 20% cashback, combining the usual 10% cashback rate with an additional 10% consumption promotion support fund.
Also, during this period, using affiliated stores with plus discounts will provide an additional discount benefit of 5% or more. Using Ontong Daejeon at online malls such as Ontong Daejeon Mall and Local Food Pumasi Village will also offer refunds and discount coupons based on the amount spent.
However, the city explained that the consumption promotion support fund is scheduled to be provided until the 15th of next month, and depending on budget execution trends, it may end earlier or be extended beyond the planned period.
The Ontong Sale opening ceremony is scheduled to be held on the 29th of this month in the morning at Sky Road KT Intersection in Eunhaeng-dong, Jung-gu.
