Hampyeong-gun Holds Completion Ceremony for New Farmers' Basic Agricultural Technology Training
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] On the 22nd, Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it held a completion ceremony for the basic agricultural technology training for new farmers at the Agricultural Technology Center Education Hall.
The completion ceremony was held simply with only a minimal number of attendees, including Lee Sang-ik, the mayor of Hampyeong-gun, following the government's downgrade of social distancing to level 1.
This year's training started in March and was conducted over a total of 15 sessions.
The training program consisted of theoretical courses such as crop selection techniques and agricultural product distribution and management methods, as well as practical field training including visits to excellent farms of returning farmers.
In particular, the talk concert featuring broadcasters Seo Jeong-ah and Kim Se-ah, who are regular panelists on KBS1TV's 'Jeonnam-do Maeryeokcheong,' and Seosangil, the instructor of Geumgok Seodang, drew empathy from the participating trainees regarding rural life in general and various difficulties, receiving high praise.

Mayor Lee Sang-ik said, “I sincerely congratulate the new farmers who have diligently completed the basic agricultural technology training,” and added, “I hope that the knowledge gained from this training will be well applied to contribute significantly to increasing farm income and the development of local agriculture.”
