View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Junho Hwang] The Ministry of Science and ICT will attend the 'Open Innovation Forum' held in Russia from the 19th to the 21st as the guest of honor, together with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
This event is the largest organized by the Russian federal government to discuss new technology development and commercialization, promotion of innovative technologies, and international cooperation strategies in the field of innovation.
At this forum, Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun will participate in the plenary session titled 'Overcoming Crisis and Economic Recovery Measures at Regional and International Levels' alongside Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. He will introduce Korea's COVID-19 quarantine and Digital New Deal policies, emphasizing bilateral innovation cooperation in the era of digital transformation accelerated by COVID-19.
The Ministry of Science and ICT and related ministries will review the achievements of Korea-Russia innovation cooperation and conduct a separate domestic event simultaneously broadcast with Russia, seeking technology cooperation, startup exchanges and investment attraction between the two countries, and entry into the Russian market under the Korea-Russia Innovation Platform.
