Also Jang Je-won Targets Kim Jong-in... "Giving Up Standing Committee Chairmanship, Isn't It a 'Strategic Mistake'?"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Jang Je-won, a member of the People Power Party, bluntly stated that there is no public opinion within the party to redistribute the standing committee chairmanships, calling Kim Jong-in, the Emergency Response Committee Chairman's 'giving up all standing committee chairmanships' strategy a 'strategic mistake.'
On the 15th, Jang said on Facebook, "I have not yet heard that there are people who want to redistribute the standing committee chairmanships."
Earlier, on the 12th, Kim was reported to have expressed concerns about the growing calls among senior members to redistribute the standing committee chairmanships, telling Emergency Response Committee members and key party officials that "the Emergency Response Committee might not be able to continue any longer."
Jang said, "As far as I know, the only comment about giving up all standing committee chairmanships at the time of the original organization is that it might have been a 'strategic mistake' by Chairman Kim," adding, "At first, there was public opinion that it was 'refreshing,' but when the Democratic Party monopolized all the standing committee chairmanships, pushed through major bills unilaterally, and failed to secure even a single witness during the National Assembly audit, it is natural that people would call it a strategic mistake."
He continued, "As someone who advocated a practical approach during the original organization, I cannot help but think it was a strategic mistake," and dismissed reports of calls within the party to reclaim the chairmanships by saying, "But to ask for them back now would be humiliating, like chewing on someone else's discarded gum. Who would step forward to do that?"
Jang emphasized, "If Chairman Kim says from now on that he will thoroughly prioritize practical matters while fighting, that will be enough," adding, "I don't know where this story came from, but to think that senior members are politicians who feel no sense of crisis and have no pride is somewhat insulting."

He criticized, "Since the reason given for 'possibly not being able to continue the Emergency Response Committee' was because of senior members coveting positions, the first order of business should be to dismiss the aides who spread such fake news," and said, "If Chairman Kim says, 'What I decide is absolutely right, so don't say anything else,' who would follow that?"
