[Asia Economy Beijing=Special Correspondent Jo Young-shin] The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in China held the '2020 Republic of Korea National Foundation Day and Armed Forces Day Commemoration Reception' on the 13th at the embassy residence in Sanlitun, Beijing, China.
The event was attended by Ambassador Jang Ha-sung, Luo Zhaohui, Vice Minister (Deputy Minister level) of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, descendants of independence activists, and 500 others.
The embassy invited 2,000 people last year to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), but this year only 500 were invited.

View original imageIn his congratulatory speech, Ambassador Jang Ha-sung said, "Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, Korea and China have developed close relations in all fields at an unprecedented rapid pace worldwide," adding, "We must create a cooperative relationship that takes a step further forward."
He continued, "Korea and China are striving to build a more advanced economic cooperation model based on the solid spirit of Korea-China friendship and cooperation," urging the attendees for their interest and support.
