Jin Joong-kwon Fined 1 Million Won for Insulting a Civilian Confirmed
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghoon Jeong] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon was recently fined for insulting a private individual.
According to the court on the 8th, the Seoul Western District Court issued a summary order imposing a fine of 1 million won on former professor Jin, who was summarily indicted in August for the charge of insult.
A summary order means that when the prosecution requests the court to impose a fine or penalty through written review instead of a trial, the court reviews the documents and imposes a sentence without a formal trial.
