Three Public Night Pharmacies Including Daeyu Pharmacy in Seodaemun-gu Open Until 1 AM
1 Location (Daeyu Pharmacy) Open 365 Days, 2 Locations (Eunha Pharmacy, Myeong Pharmacy) Open Late Night Monday to Saturday
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) has recently designated and started operating 'Public Night Pharmacies' to allow safe purchase of medicines even during late-night hours when pharmacies are closed.
The designated pharmacies are ▲ Daeyu Pharmacy near the Seodaemun-gu Office intersection (359 Moraenae-ro) ▲ Eunha Pharmacy near Baekryeon Children's Park (1 Myeongji-daero 3-gil) ▲ Myeong Pharmacy near Exit 4 of Sinchon Station (109 Sinchon-ro, 1st floor, No. 111-2), totaling three locations.
The operating hours are from 10 PM to 1 AM the next day. Daeyu Pharmacy operates 365 days including Sundays and public holidays, while Eunha Pharmacy and Myeong Pharmacy operate Monday through Saturday nights, excluding Sunday nights.
These pharmacies provide general medicines, quasi-drugs, and prescription medicines dispensed according to prescriptions.
A Seodaemun-gu Public Health Center official said, “We designated public night pharmacies as part of improving residents’ medical accessibility and health rights,” adding, “We hope to expand this to many pharmacies in the future by ensuring work safety, making medicine purchases during late-night hours more convenient.”
