[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] As sustainability emerges as a global issue, the travel industry is also embracing 'eco-friendliness' as the trend.
Lotte Hotel Jeju announced on the 6th that it will offer an eco-friendly package called 'Green Stay' until the 30th of next month as part of leading an eco-friendly lodging culture.
This package consists of a one-night stay, breakfast for two, and one set of eco-friendly reward items. It also provides guests with the opportunity to participate in an eco-friendly campaign. To protect the environment, bedding is reused during the stay, and if guests wish to have their bedding changed, they can place a 'Gray Card' on the bed. Gifts made by upcycling linens used in the hotel are also prepared. Guests who pledge to the eco-friendly Green Campaign at check-in will receive one adult apron and one child apron made from linen, as well as a giraffe doll. For extended stays, a solid air freshener made by upcycling soap is also provided.
The 'Re:Think' campaign, aimed at reducing disposable products, is also underway. Customers who bring their own tumblers and use 'The Canvas' will receive a complimentary takeout signature coffee, and when using Delica Hans, they will also receive a coffee discount. The package price starts from 310,000 KRW. Taxes and service charges are separate.
