[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] The U.S. Department of State on the 3rd (local time) re-announced Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's Asia tour schedule, limiting it to a visit to Japan.
On the same day, the U.S. Department of State issued a press release titled "Update on Secretary Pompeo's Asia Visit," stating that "Secretary Pompeo will visit Tokyo, Japan from the 4th to the 6th." It added that the scheduled Quad Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Tokyo will focus on issues in the Indo-Pacific region.
The U.S. Department of State also stated that Secretary Pompeo will visit Asia again in October and will reschedule his itinerary.
