50s Woman Found Dead in Burned House After Screaming and Losing Contact
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] A woman in her 50s who screamed and lost contact was found dead in a house that caught fire.
According to the Mokpo Police Station in Jeonnam on the 29th, Ms. A was found dead in a house in Chodo, Sinan-gun, Jeonnam, around 2 a.m. that day.
The interior of the prefabricated house appeared to have caught fire and then been extinguished.
The police did not find any signs suggesting homicide on Ms. A in the initial forensic examination.
However, considering the testimony of the bereaved family that contact was lost after screams were heard during a phone call with Ms. A, the investigation is being expanded.
The house where Ms. A was found was the residence of Mr. B, who was in a common-law relationship with her.
Mr. B stated that he was elsewhere at the estimated time of the incident, and after checking CCTV and other evidence, most of his statements were confirmed to be true.
