[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chae-seok] Unit 3 of the Wolseong Nuclear Power Plant (a 700,000 kW pressurized heavy water reactor), which was shut down due to the impact of Typhoon Haishen, the 10th typhoon, has resumed power generation.
According to Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power's Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters on the 27th, Unit 3 of Wolseong resumed power generation at 7:52 PM on the 26th and reached normal operating output at 2:05 PM on the 27th.
The turbine generator of Wolseong Unit 3 was shut down at 9:18 AM on the 7th, when Typhoon Haishen was approaching northward.
The Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters replaced the instrument transformer that caused the turbine shutdown.
