Imported Car Companies: "Even if You Don't Visit Your Hometown During the Holidays, Be Sure to Get a Free Inspection"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Imported car companies are expanding free inspection services in celebration of the Chuseok holiday. They advise that even if you do not return to your hometown due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), vehicle inspections are essential to prepare for winter and other seasons.
According to the industry on the 26th, Mercedes-Benz Korea is conducting the '2020 Classic Campaign' at official service centers nationwide until the 31st of next month, offering free inspection services for safe autumn driving and discounts on genuine parts to customers who own Mercedes-Benz vehicles registered over four years ago.
Through this campaign, customers owning Mercedes-Benz vehicles delivered before October 31, 2016, will receive free professional technician inspection services for major parts such as engine oil, brake pads and discs, and transmission oil, and genuine parts1 and accessories & collections2 will be sold at a 20% discounted price.
Furthermore, for eligible vehicle customers, a free installation service of the 'Mercedes me Digital Assistant' is provided, enabling vehicle management connected services through Bluetooth connection and smartphone integration even in models produced before connectivity functions were installed. Additionally, customers who proceed with paid repairs for vehicles aged 5 or 10 years after delivery will receive separate gifts such as vehicle care products and in-car air purifiers on a first-come, first-served basis.

Accordingly, from next month for three months, BMW Korea will operate the 'BMW MVG Lane Service,' providing free inspections and mobility services to Lotte Department Store users during their shopping time, and plans to continuously expand collaboration with Lotte Department Store starting with this service.
