Wando Coast Guard Delivers Warm Love to Underprivileged Groups

On the 24th, Wando Maritime Police comforted and delivered consolation money to the elderly and child-headed households at social welfare facilities in Wando-gun.
Earlier, on the 23rd, the Maryang Police Substation visited three underprivileged households living in Hajomaeul, Maryang-myeon, Gangjin-gun, and Hwaseongmaeul, Yaksan-myeon, Wando-gun, delivering daily necessities such as rice and beverages. Since 2019, all employees at the Maryang Police Substation have been practicing a 'Love Fundraising Campaign' by collecting a fixed amount every month to help neighbors in difficulty and those marginalized.
In addition, Wando Maritime Police carried out on-site disinfection services targeting fishing boats at local ports and harbors to prevent and contain the spread of COVID-19, reducing fishermen's anxiety about infectious diseases and engaging in public service activities.
