LINC+ Project Group Holds Capstone Design Competition Awards Ceremony
The LINC+ Project Group at Dong-Eui University held the "2020 First Semester and Summer Seasonal Capstone Design Competition Awards Ceremony" on the 23rd in the conference room on the 2nd floor of the main building at Dong-Eui University.

The LINC+ Project Group has been holding competitions for students enrolled in the Capstone Design course since last year to strengthen field-oriented practical education and enhance students' problem-solving abilities.
This year, 68 teams participated, and after the first internal evaluation and the second external expert evaluation, one grand prize team, three excellence award teams, four merit award teams, five encouragement award teams, and five special award teams were selected.
The evaluation focused on the derivation and design process of capstone design ideas, the appropriateness of the process, creativity and advancement of ideas, qualitative excellence of submissions, expected effects, and completeness.
The grand prize was awarded to the 'OMNI WHEEL BALANCE Electric Wheelchair' project by the TASIL team (Kim Hyung-jin, Jung Moon-gyu, Yoon Sun-bin, Cha Soo-yeon) from the Department of Electronic Engineering, receiving the President's Award and prizes worth 500,000 KRW per team member.
The excellence awards went to the HBO team from the Department of Digital Content, the Croissant team from the Department of Computer Engineering, and the 'Gather in the Swamp of Captives' team from the Department of Chemical Engineering, each receiving the President's Award and prizes worth 300,000 KRW per team member.
The Shin Do-dong-ho team from the Department of Electronic Engineering, the Pengha team from the Department of Human System Design Engineering, a four-member team from the Department of Game Animation Engineering, and 13 teams from a four-department alliance (e-Business, Computer Engineering, Metal Materials Engineering, Human Systems Engineering) received merit awards and prizes worth 200,000 KRW.

Lee Im-geon, director of the Dong-Eui University LINC+ Project Group, stated, "Through the Capstone Design course, students are continuously developing their practical problem-solving skills centered on the field," adding, "As cases of students filing patents for their original ideas are increasing, we plan to actively support securing intellectual property rights and corporate-linked makers courses."
