[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Hyundai Oilbank and the Korea Road Traffic Authority signed a business agreement on the 25th to promote a traffic culture that considers the elderly.
Through this agreement, the two organizations will conduct a pilot event in the Gangwon region to distribute 'Smile Silver' stickers, which are attached to vehicles driven by elderly drivers, free of charge.
At 21 Hyundai Oilbank directly operated gas stations in Gangwon Province, 200 sets per gas station, totaling 4,200 sets, will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis from the 25th until supplies last. Considering proxy receipt for parents or grandparents, anyone can receive the stickers by visiting the designated gas stations regardless of age. The target group encouraged to attach the stickers is elderly drivers aged 70 and above.
Building on this agreement, the two organizations promised to cooperate mutually in joint promotional activities to spread and establish a culture of consideration on the road, as well as in promoting online and offline traffic safety events.
