Gyeongnam University Far East Issues Research Institute Launches Fellowship for Academic Exchange on North Korea and Unification Studies

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] The Far East Issues Research Institute at Gyeongnam National University announced on the 24th that the launch ceremony for the '2020 Overseas North Korea and Unification Studies Academic Exchange Project' fellowship master's and doctoral program was held in the institute's main conference room in Samcheong-dong, Seoul.
The launch ceremony was attended by Park Jae-gyu, President of Gyeongnam National University, Kim Sun-hyang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University of North Korean Studies, Ahn Ho-young, President of the University of North Korean Studies, as well as professors and overseas researchers.
In his welcoming speech, President Park Jae-gyu said, "We will spare no support to ensure that the researchers participating in this program achieve significant academic and policy outcomes," and urged, "Researchers should also do their best to devote themselves to their studies and produce good results."

Meanwhile, the six fellowship researchers selected for this program from the United States, China, and Russia, along with four master's and doctoral students from the United States, the United Kingdom, China, and the Netherlands, will begin full-scale research activities starting in September.
