Global Local Governments Gather in Jeju for Joint Response to Environmental Issues
October 13th, 8th World Local Government Cyber Environment Forum Held... Participation from 10 Countries
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Chang-won] The "8th World Local Governments Cyber Environment Forum" will be held on October 13 in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province under the theme "Sharing Cases of Environmental Governance and Establishing Desirable Models."
The World Local Governments Cyber Environment Forum has been held annually online since it was proposed by Jeju at the 2012 World Conservation Congress (WCC) special meeting to seek region-centered solutions to global environmental issues.
Through video conferences, local government officials and environmental experts share cases, exchange information, and continue cooperation.
This forum will be attended by 11 regions from 10 countries including the US and China, sharing various cases of public-private cooperation related to the environment and conducting discussions to establish desirable environmental governance models.
