Shin Young-jin, CEO of Shinhan Card, along with Yoon Seok-heon, Governor of the FSS, visited Mangwon World Cup Market located in Mapo-gu, Seoul, at 10 a.m. on the same day. They delivered daily necessities such as fruits, meat, dried seafood, and traditional market gift certificates purchased with sponsorship funds jointly prepared by the FSS and the financial sector to social welfare facilities and vulnerable groups.
Since 2015, the FSS and the financial sector have jointly conducted the Chuseok Sharing Event by visiting traditional markets to revitalize small business owners and support vulnerable groups.
Representing the credit card industry, Shinhan Card has participated in the event annually. This year as well, in line with its philosophy of mutual growth management, it joined the Chuseok sharing to support vulnerable groups and small business owners in traditional markets who are facing difficulties due to the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
This is part of Shinhan Financial Group's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy implementation. Shinhan Card plans to evolve into a 'first-class' Shinhan Card that goes beyond being number one by continuously expanding mutual growth management and social contribution.
