[2020 Asia Construction Awards] Hanwha Construction Emerges as Premium Brand with 'Forena'
Asia Economy Grand Prize in the Brand Category
[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] Forena, Hanwha Construction's brand that won the brand category at the Asia Construction Comprehensive Awards, has established itself as a premium brand by setting various records such as zero unsold units since its launch in August last year. All units in Forena Cheonan Dujeong (1,067 households), Forena Jeonju Eco City (817 households), Doma e-Pyeonhansesang Forena (1,881 households), Forena Luwon City (1,128 households), and Forena Geoje Jangpyeong (817 households) have been completely sold out.
Forena, which means 'connection' in Swedish, embodies Hanwha Construction's commitment to creating a new residential culture through 'connecting people and spaces.' Despite being a new brand, it is evaluated to have quickly established itself as a premium brand in the housing market.
In particular, 'Forena Yangpyeong,' launched by Hanwha Construction in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province, is receiving high expectations as brand apartments from large construction companies are rare in this area. Hanwha Construction has decided to apply the Forena brand, which has achieved seven consecutive sell-outs including the recent 'Gwangmyeong Prugio Forena,' to this complex as well.
Forena Yangpyeong consists of 7 buildings, ranging from 2 basement floors to 24 above-ground floors, with a total of 438 households. The number of units by type is ▲59㎡ (A~C) 171 households, ▲74㎡ (A~C) 178 households, and ▲84㎡ 89 households.
Within a 1 km radius, there is excellent transportation access with the Gyeongui-Jungang Line and KTX Yangpyeong Station, as well as the Yangpyeong Bus Terminal. Accessibility to the Jungbu Inland Expressway and various national roads is also good, making travel to Seoul, the metropolitan area, and other parts of the country convenient.
It offers a pleasant natural environment close to the Namhan River, as well as well-equipped infrastructure for daily convenience. Educational facilities such as Yangpyeong-dong Elementary School and Yangpyeong High School, and convenience facilities like Megamart and Lotte Mart are within walking distance. Yangpyeong Life Sports Park, which includes facilities such as soccer fields, badminton courts, and tennis courts, is nearby, and the Yangpyeong County Library is also close, providing well-established leisure and cultural facilities.
There are also abundant development benefits. In October 2019, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced 'Metropolitan Transportation 2030' and revealed the expected route map for the 'Songpa-Yangpyeong Expressway.' Currently, a preliminary feasibility study is underway, and once opened, it is expected to allow access to Seoul (Songpa) within 20 minutes by car. Construction of the Second Outer Ring Expressway connecting Yangpyeong and Icheon is also in progress.

The unique product features of Forena are also noteworthy. Even from the exterior, the 'Forena Exterior Design,' which differentiates it from other apartments, is applied according to the characteristics of the complex, and various specialized designs and advanced systems are planned to enhance customer satisfaction. A Hanwha Construction official said, "With transportation, school districts, future value, and brand all in place, it will become a landmark complex leading the real estate value of Yangpyeong."
