[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Three wild boars infected with the African Swine Fever (ASF) virus were found in Gangwon-do. Including this case, the total number of ASF occurrences is understood to have reached 741.
According to the Ministry of Environment on the 23rd, tests conducted on wild boar samples collected from the 15th to the 22nd of this month confirmed ASF in carcasses found in Yanggu-gun, Chuncheon-si, and Hwacheon-gun, Gangwon-do. The cumulative number of cases so far is 741.
The carcasses confirmed positive this time were discovered within the wide-area fence by the Ministry of Environment search team and local residents.
