Delivering Messages of Support for COVID-19 Prevention Using Mask Stickers and Hand Sanitizing Wipes
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Ahead of the Chuseok holiday, Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do is doing its best to ensure the safety of residents by implementing various policies to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 23rd that it expects many visitors to return home during the Chuseok holiday amid the COVID-19 situation and will distribute 90,000 items such as hand sanitizing tissues and mask stickers to create a clean living environment.
To promote habitual mask-wearing, the county prepared 30,000 mask stickers with encouraging messages such as ▲You wearing a mask is the best!, ▲Masks are consideration!, ▲Let's win! COVID-19! and 60,000 hand sanitizing tissues, which will be distributed through general restaurants, cafes, karaoke rooms, religious facilities, and public facilities.
To block the spread of COVID-19, non-face-to-face distribution will be prioritized, and when distributing supplies to facilities with a high risk of group infection, quarantine guidelines will be strictly followed and systematically implemented.
County Governor Kim Cheol-woo said, “Chuseok is a great national holiday when we want to spend time with family and relatives we have missed, but this time is a period when we must consider and be cautious of each other, so I ask for restraint in travel,” adding, “If travel is unavoidable, please follow quarantine rules appropriate to the place and situation to prevent COVID-19.”

During the Chuseok period, Boseong-gun is delivering Chuseok food to 350 elderly people whose children have not visited, producing a “Letter from Hometown (ON)” video to encourage refraining from visiting hometowns, and suspending operations of 479 public multi-use facilities until the 11th of next month, the special quarantine period for Chuseok, while strengthening public official attendance management to minimize personal contact and ensure thorough measures.
