[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters will provide a 24-hour information service for hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies in the province during the Chuseok holiday period to ensure residents have a comfortable holiday.
The hospital information service will operate on a duty basis from the 29th of this month, when the holiday begins, until the 5th of next month, covering the entire province. It will provide locations and phone numbers for 288 hospitals, 7,222 clinics, and 5,184 pharmacies.
If assistance is needed, residents can call 119 at any time for information services and simple medical consultations. Ambulance support is also available if hospital transport is necessary.
Previously, during last year’s Chuseok holiday, the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters provided 7,014 hospital information and consultation services. Analysis of last year’s usage showed that the highest number of users was recorded between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on the day after Chuseok.
A Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters official stated, "We will provide thorough services to ensure that residents do not face difficulties due to being unable to receive medical treatment during the long holiday."
