According to Haenam-gun on the 23rd, the situation room is organized into seven task forces including a general control team, disaster & safety, livestock disease, forest fire, traffic & cleaning, health, and water supply to promptly respond to inconveniences in areas closely related to residents' lives.
In particular, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, a 24-hour disaster situation management system will be maintained, and a comprehensive COVID-19 prevention situation room will operate during the special holiday quarantine period until the 11th of next month.
Amid the atmosphere of minimizing travel during the Chuseok holiday, focused guidance and inspections will be conducted on high-risk facilities, and quarantine management will be strengthened in areas such as grass-cutting, ancestral grave visits, columbarium facilities, traditional markets, nursing facilities, and medical institutions.
Previously, Haenam-gun received 619 grass-cutting requests through the grass-cutting agency service for expatriates and plans to complete them by this week. During the Chuseok holiday, the Namdo Regional Memorial Park will also operate an online ancestral grave visit site through the e-Haneul Funeral Information System and the Namdo Regional Memorial Park website.
To minimize inconvenience in using medical institutions and pharmacies during the holiday period and to prepare for emergency patient treatment as well as the occurrence and spread of COVID-19 patients, an emergency medical system will be activated.
COVID-19 screening clinics will operate without any days off during the holiday period at three locations: the public health center, Haenam General Hospital, and Haenam Woori General Hospital. Separate measures will be operated for managing isolated individuals and emergency responses in case of situations.
In particular, an emergency medical countermeasure situation room will be established within the public health center to immediately screen symptomatic COVID-19 patients. Eight teams with 13 members daily, including self-quarantine management, temporary isolation facility medical support, and transport teams, will be deployed to maintain a 24-hour emergency COVID-19 response.
For general medical treatment, a 24-hour emergency medical system will be maintained at Haenam General Hospital and Haenam Woori General Hospital, which are regional emergency medical institutions. Additionally, 22 on-duty medical institutions and 22 holiday pharmacies will be designated to minimize medical inconvenience through scheduled shifts.
From the 30th of this month to the 2nd of next month, the public health center's clinic will also operate to enable prompt response in case of patient occurrence.
Detailed information about hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies available during the Chuseok holiday can be found on the Haenam-gun and public health center websites, and can also be obtained through the 119 Emergency Situation Management Center (dial 119 without area code), the Emergency Medical Portal, or smartphone apps (Emergency Medical Information Service).
During the holiday period, major tourist sites including Ttangkkeut Observatory, Duryunsan Provincial Park, Dinosaur Museum, Gosan Historic Site, Usuyeong Tourist Site, and Duryun Miro Park will operate without closing days, and outdoor facilities will offer free admission.
However, to prevent COVID-19, indoor facilities will be closed according to social distancing level 2, and special holiday performances or experiential programs will be reduced or canceled.
To support tourism industry workers facing difficulties due to COVID-19, 18 quarantine management personnel have been prioritized and deployed to six major tourist sites in Haenam-gun, including Ttangkkeut, Usuyeong, and Uhang-ri.
Quarantine management personnel perform duties such as disinfecting tourist sites, guiding mask-wearing, hand sanitizer use, maintaining a 2-meter distance, and inspecting the environment of tourist sites.
The underground parking lot at Haenam-gun Office Citizen Square will be open free of charge from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. from the 30th of this month to the 4th of next month. Due to system maintenance for the government's next-generation resident registration system, all unmanned civil service issuance machines, including those in front of the county office civil service room and in all towns and townships, will suspend services from 8 p.m. on the 29th of this month until midnight on the 4th of next month, so residents are advised to be especially cautious.
During the holiday period, household waste and food waste in Haenam-eup will be collected on the 30th of this month and the 2nd and 3rd of next month, excluding Chuseok day. Situation response teams and mobile processing teams will be organized by town and township to handle complaints and illegal dumping reports.
Wearing masks is mandatory when using public transportation. At the bus terminal, from 6 a.m. until the last bus arrives at midnight, temperature checks will be conducted on passengers boarding and alighting, and disinfection of waiting areas, restrooms, and bus interiors will be carried out.
