Yeonggwang-gun Launches 'Integrity Campaign' for All Employees
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 23rd that it conducted an ‘Integrity Campaign’ targeting all employees to foster a healthy holiday atmosphere ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
The campaign, held together with the Public Officials Labor Union and the Planning and Budget Office, was conducted with the purpose of encouraging public officials to reaffirm their commitment to integrity in order to create an honest public service culture, especially as the likelihood of corruption increases during the holiday season.
The county delivered promotional materials containing messages to eradicate corruption and called for active interest and participation from employees in practicing integrity by chanting slogans such as ‘Integrity Culture Together’ and ‘Corruption-Free Integrity Yeonggwang.’
A county official said, “We hope this integrity campaign will serve as an opportunity for public officials to firmly engrave their commitment to practicing integrity in their hearts,” adding, “We will strive to become an integrity county trusted by residents through transparent and fair job performance.”

Meanwhile, the county plans to carry out preventive inspection activities to preempt misconduct such as laxity in duty, negligence, acceptance of money or entertainment beyond the scope of the Anti-Graft Act, and drunk driving, which may arise from the holiday atmosphere, until the 8th of next month to establish public service discipline before and after the Chuseok holiday.
