[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] An LG Electronics employee working at the LG Twin Towers in Yeouido, Seoul, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to industry sources on the 22nd, an LG Electronics employee working in the West Tower of the Twin Towers tested positive on the 21st. The employee had been commuting to work until the 18th and reportedly developed symptoms over the weekend, leading to the diagnostic test. The West Tower building is used by LG Electronics.
LG Electronics conducted disinfection work throughout the West Tower office, including the floor where the employee worked, and will close only that floor until the end of the day.
Employees working on the same floor are required to undergo COVID-19 testing, and close contacts will work from home for two weeks regardless of test results.
