[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City has decided to provide education disaster relief funds of 100,000 KRW per person to out-of-school youth, just like students enrolled in elementary, middle, and high schools.
The recipients are out-of-school youth aged 7 to 18 with a registered address in Incheon, estimated to be about 7,000 individuals. Students on leave (including those attending foreign schools and alternative schools) and those who have left the country are excluded.
The payment amount is 100,000 KRW per person, provided once from the disaster management fund, and will be credited to the local currency Incheon e-eum card. A total of about 700 million KRW is expected to be spent.
Applications can be submitted with the required documents to the out-of-school youth support center at the responsible district office from the 23rd of this month until the 23rd of next month to receive the support fund. Either the individual or their guardian can apply, but those under 14 years old must have their guardian apply in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
For more details, inquiries can be made to the 120 Michuhol Call Center, Incheon City Child and Youth Division (032-440-2851~4), or the out-of-school youth support centers at each district office.
