6th Year Sponsorship Amount Reaches Approximately 100 Million Won
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Convenience store 7-Eleven announced on the 22nd that it delivered sponsorship goods to the Navy’s Circumnavigation Training Group on the 21st to support the successful completion of the ‘2020 Navy Circumnavigation Training.’
As part of the Love for the Country campaign, 7-Eleven has been regularly sponsoring goods to the Navy Circumnavigation Training Group for six years since 2015. In 2016, it officially signed a ‘Navy Circumnavigation Training Sponsorship Agreement,’ and the total amount sponsored to date reaches approximately 100 million KRW.
The sponsored goods consisted of food items worth about 10 million KRW, including snacks, ramen, and processed foods, intended for naval cadets who will live on warships for an extended period.
The Navy Circumnavigation Training is the final course for officer cadets before commissioning, serving as a multipurpose military training for deep-sea navigation practice, practical adaptation skills development, and military diplomacy activities with visiting countries. It has been conducted annually since 1954. This year’s Navy Circumnavigation Training is scheduled to take place over about three months from October to December.
