Gyeonggi Economic Science Institute Operates SME YouTuber School
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency is operating a YouTube creator course called 'Small and Medium Enterprise YouTuber School' to help recover the economy of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Gyeonggi-do, which have been stagnated due to COVID-19.
The Small and Medium Enterprise YouTuber School offers one-on-one practical lessons by a professional video director on YouTube live broadcasting and hosting methods, targeting (pre-)entrepreneurs and SMEs who find it difficult to promote due to costs or manpower issues.
The main training includes ▲preparing and conducting live broadcasts ▲introducing companies and products ▲using real-time comments ▲uploading and sharing productions. The training is completely free of charge.
The training will be held four times every Friday from the 16th of next month until November 6. Participants can choose one day to attend the practical lesson. In particular, since the training is conducted individually to prevent the spread of COVID-19, it is expected to be effective not only in preventing COVID-19 but also in enhancing the educational effect.
Eligibility to apply includes employees of SMEs located in Gyeonggi-do, young entrepreneurs, pre-entrepreneurs, and sellers of products suitable for one-person broadcasting.

Kim Ki-jun, head of the Gyeonggi Economic Science Agency, said, "This YouTuber School was prepared to revitalize SMEs that have been stagnated due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic," and added, "Since the lessons are conducted as one-on-one customized practical training to be easy to understand even for those new to YouTube, we ask many people to take an interest and participate."
