Mokpo National University Life Science Classroom, Recruiting Students for 2020 Online Science Class

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Department of Life Sciences at National Mokpo University is recruiting online science class students from the 21st to the 27th for the "Mokpo City Out-of-School Life Science Class."

According to Mokpo University on the 21st, the Mokpo City Out-of-School Life Science Class is an experiment- and inquiry-centered science class program that allows youth and local residents to easily experience science within their living area. It is a program hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, organized by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity and Mokpo City, and operated by the Department of Life Sciences at Mokpo University since 2008 with support from the Lottery Fund of the Lottery Commission.

In 2020, due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the Mokpo City Out-of-School Life Science Class launched an online science class. The online science class will be held a total of 12 times from November 7th to November 20th, and any elementary school students from grades 1 to 6 in the region can apply.

The tuition fee is completely free, and only a material fee of 35,000 KRW must be paid separately. After applying, once the material fee is deposited, experimental materials will be shipped to each household by courier.

The online program will cover a variety of interesting topics such as the non-overflowing cup and Gyeongbae, Conquer the Virus, Unplugged Shine~ Beat Hammer, Vibration Bug Duel, Vacuum Vacuum Cleaner, Solbaram Solsolsol~ (Bernoulli Principle), and Unplugged Beat Mask Storage.
